The oldest Bishop specimen was collected in 1903 by Fleischer, M. (Eumundi (ca. 100 km. nordlich Brisbane), Urwald). The Museum last collected it in 1984; iNaturalist observers have seen it in the wild as recently as October 15, 2026.
