The oldest Bishop specimen was collected in 1972 by van Beusekom, C.F.; Geesink, R.; Phengkhlai, C.; Wongwan, B. (Phrae, Mae Kray). The Museum last collected it in 1984; iNaturalist observers have seen it in the wild as recently as February 20, 2023.
