Two centuries of collecting
The oldest Bishop specimen was collected in 1974 by Ireland, R.R. (Charlotte County: 3 miles north of Digdeguash, along Digdeguash River). The Museum last collected it in 1988; iNaturalist observers have seen it in the wild as recently as January 19, 2025.
