The oldest Bishop specimen was collected in 1871 by Hegelmeier, F. (Schwarzwald. Waldschlucht bei Bustberg im Murzthal.). The Museum last collected it in 1978; iNaturalist observers have seen it in the wild as recently as October 15, 2026.
