The oldest Bishop specimen was collected in 1989 by J.R. Croft;M.M. Richardson (Mt. Field National Park, 1 km E of Lake Dobson, N of Lake Dobson Road. Open valley, flat, open sapect. Peat between granitic rocks. Subalpine heath/tussock grassland.).
