Two centuries of collecting
The oldest Bishop specimen was collected in 1936 by van Steenis, C.G.G.J. (Archipel. Ind. Kleine Soenda Bilanden, NW Bak Prapatagoeng). The Museum last collected it in 1994; iNaturalist observers have seen it in the wild as recently as October 25, 2026.
