The oldest Bishop specimen was collected in 1975 by Sagastegui, A.; et al. (El Molino (San Pablo) Cajamaroa Prov. Dept. Cajamarca). The Museum last collected it in 1981; iNaturalist observers have seen it in the wild as recently as May 6, 2018.
